In addition to home made acne masks, there are a number of other home made acne remedies that can help reduce your acne without costing you a lot of money. Here are just a few other ways of combating acne using common household items instead of expensive acne solutions. Not every item here is guaranteed, but they may help.
- Relax in a warm bath scented with rosemary and a blanch of nettle
- Daub a mixture of rose water and lemon juice on your face
- Take half a garlic clove and rub it over the affected area a few times a day
- Wash your face with a mixture of water and avocado paste
- Eating a grated radish with each meal has show to help reduce acne in some people
- Drink plenty of water - some suggest adding honey or squeezed lemon to the water
- Drink warm teas, especially rosemary tea
- Put a few tea bags in water, add some basil, and let it come to a boil. Then daub the mixture directly onto the affected area with a cotton ball
- Clean your face with a vinegar-soaked cotton ball. Caution: this may sting, so be careful and try it on a small area of your face first.
- Eat plenty of carrots and cucumbers
- Apply toothpaste to affected areas. Toothpaste will dry out the acne, making it vanish more quickly. Caution: don’t apply toothpaste all over your face because it will dry out any skin you apply it to.
