PURGING! |
Bottom Line: |
im still using it for about a month and a half and if it doesnt get any better by the end of the second month, I WILL STOP USING IT.
IT MADE MY SKIN WORSE THAN BEFORE!!!!!
im not sure how long purging is supposed to take but for me its been about a month.. it started about two weeks after i started using the product.. i also followed the steps exactly and i just got more bumps and broke out more than usual. |

Pros: |
Worked well at first...... |
Cons: |
Stopped working all together after a few months. Used to have a lot of small pimples, now I have a few rather large ones at all times. I can handle the small ones better than the large ones!! |
Bottom Line: |
Not worth the money!!! I have tried many cheaper products from Wal-Mart and had better success than with this product and at a fraction of the price. I have been looking everywhere to try and find a product that actually works....guess I'll try another one! |

Pros: |
Made my skin very soft & clean! I was using a few topical creams & they worked for a couple years but suddenly stopped & I started getting these little white bumps all over my face so a friend told me about Murad & now the bumps are almost all gone! |
Cons: |
It made my skin a littel red and uneven at first & purged my skin pretty bad but it was worth it cuz my skin looks 100% better than it did before I used it :) |
Bottom Line: |
Great product! It might make your skin uneven or dry at first but if you just give it time it is amazing. |

Pros: |
It works at first, that's it. |
Cons: |
It works at first, but like all other highly advertised acne solutions, it turns on you. It hooks your skin on it making you have to fork out the cash! Bleh! Don't buy it!!
It really just made my skin alot worse, just irritated and oily. |
Bottom Line: |
Not worth the price at all. Not worth any price really, if you want to keep your acne forever then you should indeed buy this product. |

Pros: |
Simple steps, smells unlike other acne meds, gentle on skin. |
Cons: |
none really |
Bottom Line: |
I have very very mild acne prone skin. I only break out about once a month and this system clears up any redness and pimples in about 4 days. I use it only a week a month, the rest I use MAC wipes but I do use the exfoliating gel every single night. The cleanser just a week a month, and the on the spot very occasionally. So I would say if you have very mild acne, some skin redness this would deff help you get perfect skin. |

Pros: |
The softness of the cleanser; it doesn't make your skin feel tight after washing it. The Murad skin-care specialists were very friendly and the packing was done in an appropriate manner (although nice, none of these things directly affect your skin). |
Cons: |
The smell of the gel is intoxicating, but after a while, you become somewhat immune to it. The "purging process" seems to take forever. The product leaves post-acne marks on your skin. It's overly expensive and didn't do much for me. |
Bottom Line: |
This product is overly expensive, and for me personally, it was not worth the cost. I expected so much out of this product, but it was a huge disappointment. I had fairly light to moderate acne when I started using this product, and in all honesty, it barely changed my acne; my skin stayed relatively the same before and after. Maybe if you have severe acne, this may work for you, but for me it didn't do much (maybe I didn't use it long enough? I only used it for 2-3 months). For those who have light to moderate acne, I would suggest using Cetaphil as a cleanser and some kind of direct on-the-spot topical medication, like Neutrogena on-the-spot acne treatment. So far, it's been working satisfactorily, but I still am battling with post-acne marks (something that I blame Murad for). Despite everything that I am writing, if you're completely desperate and want try to anything, then go for Murad - it might do wonders for you, but remember that beauty from Murad comes with a hefty price. |

Pros: |
Not very many. The fragrance is probably the best (expect treatment gel) then I'd say the way the cleanser feels when you apply it to your skin. |
Cons: |
Everything else. It does a so-called "Purging" to your skin. The pamplets that come with it tell you your supposed breakout, and the acne treatment gel is the worst thing I've ever smelled, and on occasion it stings, and leaves skin red and blouchy. |
Bottom Line: |
My experience with Murad has been a nightmare.
My skin was probably in between light and moderate, one month after using it, it destroyed my skin
Week 1: skin cleared up nice, a little dry, and sometimes felt a little tight, whiteheads gone, cystic acne was sizing down but on occasion became flaky
Week 2: skin became more oily (due to overdrying) moderate shine, whiteheads and blackheads started to appear, cystic acne swelled a little.
Week 3: skin broke out, extremly more oily. whiteheads, blackheads, and cystic acne swell
Week 4: skin a little bit better. oily and shiny, whiteheads, blackhead, and cystic acne swelling done, but some left marks, and ocassional flaking.
After that I sent it back for a refund, Murad basically takes acne away for about a week, and then give it back with twice as much problems. I have been using Clean & Clear products, and am almost fully cleared up. |
