I had mild acne and razor burn so I decided to give this a trie since I've heard so many bad things about Proactiv. I tried this and during the first week my face broke out, and my face turned red like a lobster after using the spot treatment. This product contains sulfur so if your allergic to it, like me, avoid useage. The face wash is the only decent thing in the whole system. I used the product for 4 months and didn't see any improvements along with some new acne. Plus the instructions on how to use the product are horrible not telling you when or how to use the product.

The infomercial for this product really makes you believe that Murad will finally be the miracle-worker for acne. Throughout the 3 months I used this product, my acne became worse than EVER! I held out hope during these 3 months that it would get better, but finally I said, forget it!! My face was covered with acne, and after TWO days of DIScontinuing the use of Murad my skin cleared up dramatically! Stay away from this evil product!

I am too a victim of this awful product. I had a mild breakout on my forehead and stupidly freaked out about it...so I ordered Murad.
That is the worst thing that I have ever done!
I started to break out in on my face that I have NEVER broken out before.
This was about a year and half ago and my face is JUST starting to get better!
Murad should be used as a punishment to criminals!!

The first week I used this product I was expecting my face to go through the purging stage that everyone was talking about, but I didn't really experience that...well, not that week. I didn't find that it helped my acne all that much, and it didn't speed up the recovery process all that much either. The second week I had a few manageable pimples, but they were there..and one just has been on my cheek since the first day I used Murad (which was 3 weeks ago)I would like to say it is one on my cheek, but it is actually a two-headed pimple. (yikes!) I never picked at it or popped it, and I am not going to either. After my second week I had gone to the Spa and got a Glycolic face peel, which helped dry out most of my acne. My face only had that one pimple on my cheek but I was happy that it was one versus a few. Now, it's the third week and OMG it's like over night I got...Wait...lemme count... 6 pimples. (These 6 do not include all of the other small pimples and blackheads I have all of a sudden produced).I have several on each cheek and on my jaw line....These suckers are painful, and I am currently hiding from the world. I do have the Exposed system....but want to finish my Murad just to see if I am finally going through the PURGING stage. Who came up with the idea that your acne can "purge" anyway? That sounds like your face is throwing up....If that's the case then my face is anorexic. (I like to have humor during this tough time). If I am still breaking out once I finish my Murad products then I am just going to use a mild cleanser, toner, and lotion with sunblock for about 1 week, and then try the Exposed system. One thing you never want to do is jump from one acne product to the next without letting your face re-adjust. I hope the Exposed system works for me...because it has mixed ratings. I would really love to know what a 23yr old who has been suffering from mild/moderate acne that has had acne since high school could use that is beneficial???....I have tried Retin-A, oral contraceptives, am on Ortho Tri Cyclin, tried Pro Activ, Murad, and several other topical antibiotics that you can purchase from your local drug store. (i.e. Clearacil, Clean & Clear, Cetaphil, Neutrogena, etc) I have tried products from Mary Kay, Md Formulations,Bare Minerals, Prescriptives, and Clinque....nothing seems to work.
